Eclectic stuff from London’s White Kite, but for all that it’s still soft on broken down psyche’s. You’ll find a more than passing resemblence to 80’s band Talk Talk who the band have professed a deep liking for. So ‘Devil’s Pact’ could be an update on theperfectly formed dramas of ‘I Believe In You’, sporting a universality despite an outwardly odd appearance. This is the very definition of a grower, Louis Shadwick’s vocals guiding us despite their undoubted vulnerability, with plenty to reward repeat listens as the nooks and crannies are crammed with fragrant nuance.
